Jade’s practice explores dialogues and questions of the body and identity, and their connections with historical, cultural and personal events and experiences. Her work seeks to reclaim expression of the body and self; with elements of spectacle, intervention and social commentary. she focuses on race and blackness, feminism, ownership and loss. Through live performance, actions and images, she combines the use of the body as a site with the narrative qualities of perishable materials.
